octanorm octarig ceiling constructions.

A ceiling construction lifts the technology above the stand and frees the floor. octarig is a safe and stable system for the exhibition and event sector that reliably carries lights, fabric frames and technical equipment. Spans reach up to twelve metres, suspended, on uprights or as a pylon.

what ceiling constructions are

A ceiling construction is a load-bearing framework above the stand on which you hang technology instead of placing it on the floor. octarig is a system for safe and stable ceiling constructions in the exhibition and event sector: it reliably carries media technology such as LED walls, speakers and spotlights, and large octalumina light frames.

The system motto is concise: safe, stable, impressive. octarig is not only a structural solution but also a visual element that makes the appearance visible from a distance. The support extrusion spans up to twelve metres with high load capacity and maximum stability, so it suits demanding layouts where the structure must carry heavy equipment.

Because octarig carries exactly the technology that otherwise occupies the floor, its role is twofold. On one hand it enables larger and heavier elements such as LED walls and sound systems, on the other it frees the floor surface for visitor movement and exhibits. The ceiling construction is therefore not an add-on but the backbone of a more demanding appearance.

load capacity up to twelve metres

The main feature of the system is load capacity. The octarig support extrusion safely spans up to twelve metres, with high load capacity and maximum stability. It is designed for heavy loads, so it carries media technology such as LED walls, speakers and spotlights, and large-format octalumina light frames, without the structure sagging or swaying.

A large span means freedom in the layout. You hang the technology where it is needed, with no supports in the middle that would obstruct the space. That matters for large island stands, where the open centre must stay clear yet heavy equipment still needs to be lifted above the visitors.

Assembly is thoughtfully designed for safety and speed. You conveniently assemble the construction on the ground and then bring it into final position with lifting tools, which is simple, safe and time-saving. Instead of assembling at height, the work is done below, where it is controlled and reliable.

  • Load-bearing span up to 12 metres with high load capacity and maximum stability.
  • Carries LED walls, speakers, spotlights and large octalumina light frames.
  • Assembly on the ground, then lift into position with lifting tools: safe and fast.

versions: suspended, uprights and pylon

octarig is set up in three ways, depending on the hall and the design. With suspension you conveniently hang the construction from the existing hall ceiling at dedicated points, which allows a stand completely without visible supports. The technology floats above the appearance while the floor surface stays unobstructed.

In the upright version the system is elevated and opens entirely new possibilities: up to six metres of ceiling height, even without suspension points on the hall ceiling. That is the solution where hanging from the hall ceiling is not possible or permitted. The pylon version enables self-supporting corners up to three metres, held only by clamping elements, with no additional ceiling suspension.

The choice of version is not only technical but also a design decision. Suspension gives the cleanest look with no supports, uprights enable height even in halls without suspension points, and the pylon creates striking self-supporting elements. Because all three are part of the same system, you combine them as needed.

  • Suspended: the construction hangs from the hall ceiling, a stand with no visible supports.
  • Uprights: up to 6 metres of ceiling height, even without suspension points on the ceiling.
  • Pylon: self-supporting corners up to 3 metres, held only by clamping elements.

stability and safety

With a ceiling construction safety is the first requirement, not an add-on. octarig has beam safety devices that add stability to the system, and with heavy loads robust node bracing that ensures maximum safety with no compromises. The construction is therefore designed to carry heavy equipment reliably, even over large spans.

Safety starts at assembly. Because the construction is assembled on the ground and only then lifted into position, the demanding work is done safely, not at height. Lifting tools place the assembled unit precisely in position, which reduces risk and shortens the time of work in the hall.

Reliability is the condition for everything else. Only when the construction is safe and stable do you hang an LED wall, a sound system or a large light frame on it. octarig is therefore designed as the load-bearing foundation of a demanding appearance, to which the other systems clip safely.

free floor space

The main advantage of a ceiling construction is that it frees the floor. When the technology hangs above the stand, the floor surface stays clear for visitor movement, exhibits and counters. The pylon version emphasises this further: self-supporting corners hold the construction with no supports in the middle, so the arrangement of presentation surfaces is completely free.

A free floor means better flow and a stronger impression. Instead of supports and uprights fragmenting the space, the centre is open and the heavy elements are lifted above the crowd, where they are visible from a distance. octarig thus solves two tasks at once: it carries heavy technology and opens the space beneath it.

how to proceed

The fastest route to a proposal is to share what the construction must carry (an LED wall, speakers, lights or a light frame), how large a span you need and whether the hall has suspension points on the ceiling. From that we suggest the right octarig version, with suspension, uprights or a pylon.

A ceiling construction is the load-bearing foundation you complete with technology and light: octalumina light frames for graphics, spotlights for true colours and walls for the look. Because they are all part of one system, they clip safely onto octarig. You can also see the systems live in the showroom.

Not necessarily. With suspension the construction hangs from dedicated points on the hall ceiling. In the upright version it reaches up to six metres of height even without suspension points, and the pylon version enables self-supporting corners up to three metres, held only by clamping elements.

You conveniently assemble the construction on the ground and then bring it into final position with lifting tools. The demanding work is done below, not at height, which is safer and faster. Beam safety devices and robust node bracing under heavy loads ensure stability with no compromises.
