trade fair stand for tourism and travel.
A tourism exhibitor has nothing a visitor can pick up and weigh in the hand: the stand offers photographs, brochures and a conversation. Visitors walk past dozens of stands with the sea and the mountains on the wall, and what stops them is a table where they can sit, a counter where they can ask a question and a large picture of the destination in true colour. The modular Octanorm system builds all of that from one stock, and the graphics change for each destination and each fair.
an open stand built for conversation
Visitors to a tourism fair are planning a trip, so most of the time on a stand goes on talk about dates, rooms, prices and group offers. A stand that is open on two or three sides lets people walk in where a picture stops them, and low Octawall partitions separate a quick-question corner from a table for a longer talk.
An illuminated OL-C500 counter or another Octanorm counter carries brochures, maps and a sign-up tablet, and a closed cabinet behind the back wall hides printed stock, giveaways and the team's belongings. Our guide to exhibition stand layouts compares inline, corner, peninsula and island plans by the number of open sides, and the counters guide lists the types.
- Open corner or island plan with access from several sides.
- A quick-question corner at the counter and a table for a longer talk.
- A closed cabinet behind the back wall for brochures and giveaways.

a large picture of the destination, lit in true colour
A destination is sold with a picture: the blue of the sea, the stone of an old town, a hotel room, a plate on a terrace. Hall lighting flattens all of it. Octalumina LED frames with a high CRI show the colour as it is and carry a seamless fabric graphic lit from behind, so the image works from across the hall and from a metre away.
The graphics change with the destination and the season while the frame stays. The same frame can carry a winter offer in Vienna in January and a spring one in Berlin in March, because only the printed fabric is replaced. The lighting guide gives the numbers for lumens per area, warm or neutral light and spotlights.
- Octalumina LED frames with a high CRI show the true colour of sea, stone and interiors.
- Backlit fabric graphics read from a distance and from close by.
- Only the printed fabric is replaced for each fair.

one stand for several partners
When a region, a tourist board, a hotel group and a few agencies present under one name, the stand needs a shared identity and a clear place for each partner. Octawall walls divide the floor into cells, each with its own counter and graphic, and an Octarig structure overhead carries the name of the destination so that it reads across the hall before a visitor can tell the cells apart.
Cells are added or removed when the partner list changes between fairs, and the walls and floor stay the same. Send us the list of partners and the floor plan from the organiser and we will propose the layout.
- An Octawall cell with its own counter and graphic for each partner.
- Octarig carries the shared name of the destination above the stand.
- The number of cells changes without a new build.

power, screens and storage out of sight
A screen with destination footage, chargers and a sign-up tablet all need power where they stand. The Octafloor raised floor runs the cables beneath the walking surface, so nothing crosses the aisle. Our guide to exhibition stand electrics covers how to plan the supply.
For talks with trade partners, an Octamax mezzanine adds an upper level for meetings away from the hall. At a fair aimed at the general public, a meeting table in the corner of the stand is usually enough.
- Octafloor hides the power for screens and chargers under the floor.
- Octamax mezzanine for private trade meetings above the hall.
- A closed cabinet for printed stock.

the tourism fairs of 2026 and 2027 in the region
From the confirmed dates: Tourism Expo in Sarajevo on 22 to 24 October 2026, the 57th international tourism fair in Novi Sad on 26 to 28 November 2026, Ferien-Messe in Vienna on 14 to 17 January 2027, the Alpe-Adria tourism fair in Ljubljana on 3 to 6 February 2027 followed by Conventa Meet on 9 to 11 February, Tourism Fair Albania in Tirana on 10 and 11 February 2027 at the Palace of Congresses, the 48th international tourism fair in Belgrade on 25 to 28 February 2027 and ITB in Berlin on 16 to 18 March 2027.
With a modular stand the same walls, floor and frames are rebuilt in a different plan for each hall, and only the graphics and the offer change. One appearance is usually cheaper to rent, while a company that attends several of these fairs gets more from owning the stock. Our guide to renting or buying a stand sets out the comparison. Octawall walls divide the stand into cells, each with its own counter and graphic, and a shared name for the destination hangs on an Octarig overhead. The number of cells changes from fair to fair without a new build.
For one appearance renting is usually cheaper. If you attend several fairs in a season, owning the stock tends to work out better than a new build each time. Our guide to renting or buying a stand sets the options side by side.
