buying an exhibition stand: how it works.

Owning your exhibition equipment turns each appearance into an investment: you buy the walls, counter and lighting once, then reconfigure them fair after fair. This guide covers what a modular kit includes, how the purchase runs from inquiry to first build-up, when buying beats renting and what drives the price.

what a modular exhibition kit includes

The core of the kit are walls from the Octanorm system: classic Octawall walls for graphics, or Maxima profiles where the layout calls for larger formats. Around them sit a reception counter, spotlights or OctaLumina light frames for lighting and, where needed, a platform, showcases and shelves.

Every element comes from the same modular system, so the parts combine freely: the wall that forms a corner stand today becomes part of an inline stand at the next fair. The kit is not tied to one floor plan; it grows and reshapes with your appearances.

  • Walls: Octawall for graphics or Maxima for larger formats.
  • A reception counter for visitors and product presentation.
  • Lighting: spotlights or OctaLumina light frames.
  • A platform, showcases and shelves from the same system where needed.

A purchased exhibition kit is not the cost of one appearance: the same elements are rebuilt into a new layout fair after fair, so the investment spreads across every future appearance.

why buying pays off: the same equipment fair after fair

A purchased exhibition kit is not the cost of one appearance: the same elements are rebuilt into a new layout fair after fair, so the investment spreads across every future appearance. From two or three appearances a year, buying quickly beats renting; the rent-or-buy guide runs that comparison in numbers.

For exhibitors working the Adria region, one kit covers the calendars of Ljubljana, Zagreb, Belgrade and Novi Sad, and travels to fairs abroad: between appearances only the graphics and the layout change. City-by-city dates are collected in our fair calendars.

  • From two or three appearances a year, buying quickly pays off.
  • One kit covers fairs across the Adria region and abroad.
  • Between appearances only the graphics and the layout change.

how the purchase runs: from inquiry to first build-up

The purchase starts with an inquiry: the floor plan or size of the space, the goals of the appearance and how many times a year you exhibit. Based on that you receive a kit proposal with a list of elements and the price, on request with a 3D layout design.

After confirmation the equipment is prepared and delivered. The system assembles without special tools, so your own team can handle a standard build-up; on request we build the first appearance together, so the team takes over every step. Graphics for the walls and counter are printed with the purchase or later, when you refresh the brand.

  • Inquiry: floor plan, goals and number of appearances a year.
  • Kit proposal with a list of elements and the price, 3D design on request.
  • Assembly without special tools; first build-up together on request.

storage, maintenance and extending the kit

Between fairs the equipment rests in transport cases and needs no special conditions; store it in your own warehouse, or by agreement we take over storage and preparation for the next appearance.

Because Octanorm builds on an open modular standard, the kit extends later without changing systems: add walls, a light frame or another counter and the new elements connect to the existing ones. The equipment bought for a first appearance stays the core of much larger layouts.

  • Storage in transport cases, no special conditions.
  • Storage and preparation by Octanorm Adria on agreement.
  • The kit extends by adding elements, never by changing systems.

what buying exhibition equipment costs

The price is driven by the number and type of elements: how many walls, classic or backlit, which counter, how many spotlights and extras such as a platform or showcases. That is why a purchase is quoted per kit rather than from a per-piece price list; the cost guide maps the budget of a whole appearance.

Three numbers decide between renting and buying: the rental price of one appearance, the price of the kit and the number of appearances a year. A common path is gradual: rent the first appearance, then buy the kit once the concept is proven and reuse it fair after fair.

octanorm adria: equipment purchase with design support

As the official Octanorm distributor for Slovenia and former Yugoslavia we sell equipment from the original programme: we advise on the selection of elements, design the layout, print the graphics and, by agreement, handle the first build-up and storage.

Send the floor plan or size of the space, the goals of the appearance and how many times a year you exhibit. You will receive a kit proposal with a price, and on request a parallel rental scenario for the same equipment.
