trade fairs in ljubljana 2026 and 2027: the gr calendar.

Gospodarsko razstavišče (GR) is the main Ljubljana fairground and hosts eight dates between autumn 2026 and spring 2027. Dates come from the organiser programme; check them before you register, because they can change.

Autumn 2026 opens with Narava-zdravje on 8 to 11 October, followed a week later by the Tečem running fair on 15 to 17 October, and in November the longest date of the season: the 42nd Slovenian Book Fair on 23 to 29 November. Winter and spring 2027 bring Informativa on 8 to 9 January, IFAM on 26 to 28 January, Alpe-Adria on 3 to 6 February, Conventa Meet on 9 to 11 February and Dom on 10 to 14 March 2027.

The 42nd Slovenian Book Fair is the longest Ljubljana date and for many publishers the only appearance of the year. Seven days means constant footfall and an audience that picks a book up, leafs through it and puts it back, so the stand is a selling space rather than a display case: shelves must be within reach, covers must face the visitor, and the lighting must not shift the colour of the print.

A modular system covers that with one inventory. Octawall closes the walls for graphics and carries shelves at whatever height you set, illuminated counters hold new titles, and Octarig lifts the imprint name above the stand so visitors find you across the hall. Because the date runs a full week, it pays to invest in a structure you can rearrange mid-fair rather than in a one-off set.

Dom arrives in March 2027 in its 65th edition and is the central Slovenian date for building materials, joinery, heating and interior fit-out. Five days of visitors who arrive with a very specific purpose means the stand has to carry heavier exhibits and still stay walkable.

A window, a door or a boiler unit needs a load-bearing base and access from several sides, while material samples need light that does not shift their colour. Maxima profiles carry taller structures, Octafloor lifts the stand off the ground and hides the cabling, and Octawall closes the walls for graphics and sample panels.

The Ljubljana calendar is split by industry, and that is what sets it apart from Celje, where one large date covers a broad audience. Publishing has the book fair in November, construction has Dom in March, tourism has Alpe-Adria in February, and technology and robotics have IFAM in January.

The narrower dates are just as usable. Informativa in January gathers schools, universities and employers recruiting staff; Narava-zdravje in October covers healthy food, supplements and services; Tečem covers sports equipment and events. Conventa Meet in February is a congress date where the stand mostly serves meetings, so it is often smaller and more open.

The first deadline is the floor space, booked with the organiser. The best positions in the main halls go months before opening, so allow three to six months of preparation for a larger appearance.

The second deadline is the stand itself. A custom build needs six to eight weeks; a modular rental stand is ordered two to four weeks before the fair. Add the power connection request, the graphics and the transport, then tie every deadline to the opening date and count backwards.

For one appearance a year renting is the fastest route: we install the Octanorm stand before opening and dismantle it after closing, and you arrive to a finished space. The graphics carry your brand, so a rented stand does not look different from an owned one.

The Ljubljana calendar is unusually favourable for buying, because eight dates share one venue. An exhibitor at the book fair in November and at Informativa in January builds twice in the same hall with the same logistics. The Slovenian season runs wider too: AGRA in Gornja Radgona is on 22 to 26 August 2026 and MOS in Celje on 16 to 20 September 2026. Two or three appearances in a season and the purchase often pays for itself.
