grafima 2026 belgrade: exhibition stand.

Grafima, the 46th international fair of the graphic, paper and creative industries, takes place from 16 to 19 September 2026 at Belgrade Fair. The dates come from the organiser calendar (sajam.rs); check them before you apply, because dates can move.

The exhibitor list mixes very different businesses: printing and finishing machinery, paper and board, inks and consumables, prepress equipment, and finished work from the creative industries. What they share is that the deal happens with a sample in hand rather than a catalogue on a screen.

For the stand that means four days of close inspection. Surfaces get touched, samples get leafed through and taken away, a machine runs in cycles, and the team on the stand rotates.

Grafima does not run alone. In the same slot, from 16 to 19 September 2026, Belgrade Fair also runs Biroexpo, the 32nd international fair of IT and office equipment, and the 5th Packaging Fair. Three fairs, one flow of visitors.

So three audiences pass your stand rather than one: the buyer of printing equipment, the buyer of office and IT equipment, and the buyer of packaging. A good share of them will not know what you do until they read it from the aisle.

The practical consequence is the sign, not the layout. Your company name and one sentence about what you do have to be readable from several metres away, above the heads of the people standing in front of the stand. A lit graphic surface does that better than a printed board, because it also works where the hall lighting is uneven.

A machine needs a floor. An Octafloor raised floor runs cables and hoses below the walking surface, levels out the hall floor you were given and carries the load; installed height runs from 42.5 to 225 millimetres, which also sets the step at the edge of the stand. Leave room beside the machine on the side from which visitors can see what it actually does.

A printed sheet sells from the hand, not from the wall. It needs a work surface at counter height, a place to lay a sheet down and turn it over, and a wall behind it carrying one large graphic instead of small type. Octawall and Maxima system walls carry graphics, shelves and a screen in the same structure.

Packaging is small goods in many variants and is the easiest thing to lose on a stand. Shelves and illuminated frames hold it: a box on a lit shelf reads as a product, the same box on a table reads as a sample from the stockroom.

A printer sells colour. If the same stock looks warmer or greyer on the stand than it does in the plant, the conversation ends there, before the question of price ever arrives.

Spotlights with a colour rendering index of CRI 90, such as the ERON Pro line, render colour faithfully, with no yellow or grey cast. Below that value the first casualties are exactly what the graphic industry sells: neutral greys, beige tones and coated surfaces.

The other half of the job is consistency. Keep one colour temperature across the whole stand, because two neighbouring exhibits under two different lights read as two different levels of quality. Octalumina illuminated frames turn a wall into an evenly lit surface, so your graphics do not depend on how the hall happens to be lit that day.

Renting covers one appearance: a complete stand from the Octanorm system, delivered, installed before opening and dismantled after closing, with nothing left to store. Buying means your own kit, which in later years needs only adjustment and new graphics. A turnkey build is the third route, where design, production, installation and storage sit with one contractor.

For an exhibitor coming from outside the region, renting removes the part that is hardest to organise remotely. The kit, the installation crew and the storage are already here; your team arrives to a finished stand.

The Belgrade autumn does not stop at Grafima. Wine Vision by Open Balkan runs from 10 to 12 October, the 21st Energy Fair and ECOFAIR from 21 to 23 October, the 69th Belgrade Book Fair from 23 to 31 October, and the 62nd Furniture Fair together with the 62nd Woodworking Machinery Fair from 12 to 16 November. If more than one of those slots is on your list, the equipment is one decision rather than several.

The order is always the same. First book the floor space with the organiser, because the better positions in the hall go first, and only once you know the size and shape of the space does planning the stand make sense. The more built-in technology, lit surfaces and custom elements, the longer the lead time.

Send us the floor plan or the size and shape of the space, the stand type, a list of what you are exhibiting and the dates. If you are exhibiting a machine, add its weight and power requirement, because that sets the floor and the power connection you register with the organiser. If you have brand templates and colours, send those too.
